About Tim Farley

My life’s passion has been about building a better community. I continue that journey and dedication by helping families achieve their goals of home ownership – to build strong neighborhoods.

 

A third generation Contra Costan, I have seen a lot of changes in the area over the years. However, one thing remains constant: the satisfaction of homeownership in the dynamic East Bay. From an early age, I remember my father saying “I own our home, everything else will take care of itself”. It was a source of both comfort and pride for my father to own a home and provide for our family.

 

I am a great believer in the old Italian expression, “Non aspettare per acquistare proprietà, acquistare proprietà e attendere” don’t wait to buy real estate, buy real estate, and wait.

 

My previous background enhances my real estate expertise, I served as chief of staff to a California state Assembly Member and later Director of Government and Community Relations for Saint Mary’s College.

 

I received a congressional appointment to the United States Presidential Electoral College twice, once in 1996 and again in 2016. In 2017 I was awarded the prestigious national Edwin Crawford Award for innovation in state government relations. Additionally, I was named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Moraga Rotary Club, the highest honor for a non-Rotarian.

 

An alumnus of University of California, Davis, I have served on a number of boards and commissions over the years including two terms on the Martinez City Council.

 

My wife Eileen and I live in Martinez. She is a beloved middle school teacher in Concord, working at the same school for the last 20 years. We have two grown sons. Zach, lives in San Francisco and works for the University of San Francisco and Vincent, a recent graduate of San Francisco State.

 

In my free time you can find me on the bocce ball courts, or cooking up a great meal in the kitchen for family and friends. As I am passionate about my community and relationships, let’s play a bocce game soon, and discuss your ideas for homeownership!
